Both lists are short, both expire, and most of the occupations on them have no vacancies here at all. These are the ones that do.

In short
18 of the 25 occupations on the Immigration Salary List have an open vacancy here. On the Temporary Shortage List it is 49 of 52.
Together those occupations account for 4,191 open adverts. Most codes on both lists have no vacancy on the site at all.
What the two lists are
The Immigration Salary List names occupations that qualify for a lower salary requirement on the Skilled Worker route. The Temporary Shortage List names occupations below the route’s usual skill level that are admitted for a limited period. They are different instruments and an occupation can be on either, both or neither.
Being on a list does not make a job sponsored, does not oblige an employer to sponsor, and does not remove any other requirement of the route. Every entry carries an expiry date, and the conditions column below is frequently narrower than the occupation title suggests.

How these figures were produced
Both lists are read from the published Home Office lists and stored by effective date; the newest version already in force is used. Conditions and expiry dates are quoted from the list, not summarised.
A vacancy counts when it is open, is not a duplicate, and carries the occupation code in question. Occupation coding runs on adverts as they arrive and has not reached every advert on the site, so a count of zero means no coded vacancy, not necessarily no vacancy.
The count is against the occupation code, not against the condition. Where a code is listed only for particular job titles, particular industries or one nation, the vacancies counted here are every vacancy in that occupation, and only some of them will meet the condition.
