Who makes this, what it does and where every figure on it comes from.
What Applyfit is
Applyfit is a UK job search that shows the facts about a job beside the job itself. Every opening carries its occupation code, what the role pays against the published salary distribution for that occupation, and whether the employer holds a licence to sponsor workers from outside the UK.
Add a CV and it scores each opening against it, drafts a cover letter grounded in what the CV says, and tracks each application to its outcome. Sponsorship is a layer over an ordinary job search, switched on by a single question during sign-up, not the product.
Nothing on the site is a judgement about a particular application. It reports what published records say, names the record and the date it was published, and leaves the decision where it belongs.
Who makes it
Applyfit is built and run by Joshua Vasudevan, in the United Kingdom. The operating entity is being confirmed and will be named here, with its company number, once it is.
Corrections are welcome and are the fastest way to fix a wrong sponsor match or a mis-coded job. Write to hello@applyfit.co.uk.
Where the figures come from
- Register of licensed sponsors: workersHome Office
- Which employers hold a sponsor licence, the routes it covers and its rating. Read on a schedule; each sponsor page states the date of the snapshot it is showing.
- Immigration Rules Appendix Skilled OccupationsHome Office
- Whether an occupation is eligible for the Skilled Worker route, and the going rate it carries. Stored by effective date, so an old figure is never overwritten.
- Immigration Salary List and Temporary Shortage ListHome Office
- Occupations that qualify on a shortage list rather than on the standard eligibility test.
- SOC 2020Office for National Statistics
- The occupation codes themselves, their titles, the tasks they cover and their entry routes.
- Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings (ASHE)Office for National Statistics
- UK and regional salary percentiles by occupation. These are what a salary is compared against, and what an estimate is built from where an advert states no pay.
- Companies HouseCompanies House
- The company behind a sponsor name: number, status, incorporation date and size band, with the matching method stated on every sponsor page.
- Job advertsEmployers, NHS Jobs, Reed and Adzuna
- Openings are read from employers' own job boards and from three job feeds. Each job page names the source it came from and links to the source's own application form.

Limits
A sponsor licence means an employer is permitted to sponsor workers. It does not mean they will sponsor a particular role, a particular salary or a particular person. Public records can be out of date between publications, and a company name on the register is matched to a company at Companies House by name and town, which is not always exact; every sponsor page states the method used.
Salary estimates are labelled as estimates and are built from ASHE, never from an advert that did not state pay. Confirm anything you intend to rely on with the employer and with GOV.UK.
