IT Support Engineer (1st / 2nd Line)

Yolk Recruitment is supporting a growing organisation with the recruitment of an IT Support Engineer to join its internal IT team.
This is a hands-on 1st and 2nd line role supporting users across a multi-site environment. You'll take ownership of incidents from initial triage through to resolution, working across Microsoft 365, Active Directory / Entra ID, endpoint security and general desktop support.
What you'll be doing
Providing 1st and 2nd line support across desktops, laptops, mobiles, printers and peripherals Managing and resolving support tickets in line with SLAs Supporting Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint Managing users and access through Active Directory / Entra ID Supporting MFA, Conditional Access and Microsoft Defender Deploying and managing devices through Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager Supporting joiners, movers and leavers Assisting with patching, vulnerability remediation and endpoint security Supporting IT asset, licence and subscription management Troubleshooting basic networking and connectivity issues Maintaining IT documentation and knowledge base articles
What you'll bring
You'll have previous experience within an IT Support, Helpdesk or Desktop Support position, alongside:
Strong Windows desktop support experience Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Experience with Active Directory / Entra ID Exposure to Microsoft Defender / Advanced Threat Protection Basic networking knowledge Experience supporting remote or multi-site users Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure, Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power Platform, Paxton, Time & Attendance systems or Splicecom PBX would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
