Customer Service Executive – Veterinary Pharmaceutical Sector Part time - 22.5 hours a week 12-month Fixed Term Contract Customer Service Executive Are you a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) looking to take your veterinary knowledge in a new career direction? This Customer Service Executive opportunity offers the chance to combine your clinical understanding with excellent communication and customer service skills within a leading veterinary pharmaceutical environment. Based near Towcester, this part-time role, working 22.5 hours across three 7.5 hour days each week, will see you acting as a knowledgeable first point of contact for veterinary clinics, wholesalers, distributors, pet owners and farm animal owners. You will manage customer enquiries, process orders, maintain accurate records and work closely with internal teams to deliver an efficient, professional service. This is an exciting opportunity for an RVN with previous customer service experience who enjoys problem-solving, working with people and developing their commercial knowledge. Duties & Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for veterinary clinics, customers, wholesalers, distributors, pet owners and farm animal owners, providing professional and knowledgeable support. Process sales orders, acknowledgements, invoices, credits and debits for UK and ROI wholesalers and distributors, alongside producing regular back-order reports. Manage customer enquiries by telephone, email and social media, taking ownership through to resolution or appropriate handover. Build strong customer relationships while delivering excellent service and supporting the development of the organisation's brand. Maintain customer price files, account information and accurate records within the CRM system. Liaise effectively with Supply Chain, Quality Control, Finance, Product Management and external suppliers. Use CRM and call-management tools to monitor performance against KPIs and SLAs, analyse data and provide relevant updates on sales opportunities and potential risks. Complete product training and, where appropriate, support field visits with managers to strengthen customer understanding and provide wider team support.
Education & Skills Required
Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with knowledge of the veterinary industry. Previous customer service experience, with excellent telephone manner and strong customer-focused communication skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce reports, interpret data and use market intelligence effectively. Excellent problem-solving, organisation and planning skills, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Confident communicator and collaborative team player, able to work effectively with customers, colleagues and multiple internal and external stakeholders. Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
