IT Support Engineer – 12-month contract - Cambridge
My Customer is looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer with strong knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and Endpoint Management . The successful candidate will be hands-on, customer-focused and confident troubleshooting complex technical issues.
Skills required from the IT Support Engineer:
Strong Windows 10/11 support experience. Strong Microsoft 365 experience. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and SCCM/MECM . Strong endpoint management and software deployment experience. Hardware, desktop and peripheral troubleshooting. Active Directory / Group Policy experience. Experience working within an ITIL/service desk environment . Excellent customer service and communication skills . Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. Excellent prioritisation and time-management skills . Lab IT skills would be benefical
Key Responsibilities of the IT Support Engineer:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows, hardware, software and peripherals . Support and manage endpoints using Microsoft Intune and SCCM/MECM . Install, configure and maintain operating systems and software applications. Manage patching, software updates and device lifecycle management . Support hardware refreshes, new device deployments and equipment moves/adds/changes . Troubleshoot connectivity issues and work with Networking, Security and other IT teams where required. Manage incidents and service requests in line with agreed SLAs . Assist with asset management, inventory and CMDB accuracy . Support wider IT projects and technology initiatives. Work closely with users, IT teams, vendors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
The IT Support Engineer is required to be onsite, 5 days a week in Cambridge.
