IT School Technician - Eastbourne - £30K (Onsite)
The Opportunity
I'm working with one of the UK's biggest MSP's to look for an experienced IT School Technician near Eastbourne. The IT School Technician will troubleshoot and resolve first and second line issues for a couple of schools close to Eastbourne. You will have excellent stakeholder management experience on top of extensive experience with windows server, networking, Microsoft and mobile device management technologies.
This is a strong next step for someone with school-based IT support experience who wants to develop technically and gain exposure to more advanced systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Deliver first and second-line IT support to staff and students Troubleshoot desktop, hardware, software, and network issues Manage user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365 Support Windows 10/11 environments across multiple sites Maintain school networks, wireless connectivity, and IT equipment Assist with server administration and infrastructure projects Build strong relationships with school stakeholders and end users
Key Skills
Previous IT support experience in a school or the education industry Strong knowledge of Windows 10 & 11, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 Networking experience: switches, routers, LAN/WAN, wireless technologies Excellent communication skills - able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff Experience with virtualised environments (VMware, vSphere, or similar) is highly desirable
