2nd Line IT Support - £36,000-£38,000 | Office Based (City)
Our client, a leading global architecture practice, is looking for a personable and proactive 2nd Line IT Support to join their close-knit internal IT team.
This role would suit someone with around 1.5 to 2 years' IT support experience who genuinely enjoys working with people as much as technology. Unlike many support roles, this is a highly visible, office-based position where you'll spend much of your day interacting with colleagues face-to-face, building relationships across the business, and becoming a trusted point of contact for IT support.
You'll be supporting a creative and professional user base, helping employees stay productive by providing a responsive, approachable, and customer-focused IT service.
What You'll Bring
Around 1.5 to 2 years' experience in an IT Support, Service Desk, or 2nd Line Support role A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service Confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels, both in person and over the phone Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Experience supporting Microsoft technologies and end-user devices A calm, professional approach when dealing with urgent issues Excellent communication skills and a relationship-focused mindset
What You'll Be Doing
Providing hands-on IT support to employees across the business Building strong working relationships and becoming a trusted IT contact for end users Resolving technical issues through a mix of desk-side, face-to-face, and remote support Working closely with colleagues to understand their needs and deliver a high-quality support experience Assisting with the setup, deployment, and maintenance of hardware and software Supporting office moves, onboarding activities, and technology rollouts Contributing to continuous improvements in the user experience and IT service delivery Maintaining accurate support records and sharing knowledge with the wider team
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being part of the business rather than hidden behind a helpdesk, combining strong technical skills with a people-first approach to support.
Location: City (Fully Office Based)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:30 - 18:00
Contract: Permanent
If you enjoy working directly with users, building lasting relationships, and delivering a first-class IT support experience, we'd love to hear from you.
Please note that due to the large number of applications we receive, if you haven’t heard from us within 5 working days, please accept that your application wasn’t successful.
