IT Business Support Officer
Location: Dagenham, Essex Contract: Temporary Assignment (3 Months Initially, with Potential Extension) Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an IT Business Support Officer to join a busy public sector organisation based in Dagenham. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual who enjoys problem-solving, providing excellent customer service, and supporting a wide range of IT and business systems.
Key Responsibilities
As an IT Business Support Officer, you will support the ICT team with a variety of day-to-day operational activities, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of ICT services across the organisation.
Key duties will include:
Providing first line ICT support to internal users. Assisting with troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, system and user-related issues. Supporting the management and maintenance of business systems and applications. Assisting with data management, reporting and system administration tasks. Logging, tracking and updating support tickets to ensure timely resolution. Working closely with colleagues to achieve ICT service delivery objectives and implementation targets. Assisting with system upgrades, testing and new technology rollouts. Promoting best practices and helping users maximise the use of ICT systems.
About You
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in technology and a proactive approach to learning new systems and applications. You will be comfortable supporting users at all levels and delivering a high standard of customer service.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience in an IT support, ICT support, service desk or business support environment. Good understanding of IT systems, applications and troubleshooting processes. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels. A customer-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities. A keen interest in technology and keeping up to date with industry developments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and common business systems.
