We're recruiting for a growth-stage legal technology business serving law firms across the UK and beyond. They've built market-leading products in legal research and practice management used by thousands of firms; backed by top-tier investors, they're scaling their commercial operation fast. The role sits in a business doing real work—solving genuine problems for their customers—with first-class products and a culture that actually practises what it preaches on flexibility.
The Role
As an account manager / sales executive you'll manage a territory of existing legal clients (5–80 lawyer firms), focusing on upselling AI-powered product suites and premium content upgrades. This is 80% expansion within your book, 20% new business; the SDR team handles outbound prospecting and trials come to you inbound. Success means hitting your monthly revenue target, building relationships with decision-makers, and moving deals through qualification to close.
What You'll Be Doing
- Run discovery calls with law firm partners and practice heads to uncover upsell opportunities in AI tools and content; qualify deals early and decide what's worth pursuing
- Manage the full sales cycle on your territory—from qualification through proposal, negotiation and close; average deals sit at £11–12k annually, with range from £6–7k up to £50–60k for larger rollouts
- Deliver product demos and handle objections; you'll work closely with the product and support teams when needed
- Build a healthy pipeline of opportunities and forecast accurately; chase smaller content upgrades (£2–3k) during discovery calls
- Spend roughly one day per month visiting clients on-site; as you grow larger deals, this will increase
What We're Looking For
- Proven B2B SaaS sales track record, ideally in mid-market. You've done discovery, qualification and pipeline management before; legal background is a bonus but not essential—strong sales skills matter more
- A generalist who gets comfortable fast. You're curious about your customers' problems and can pick up product detail without needing to be an expert; you sell solutions, not specs
- Experience selling into regulated or complex environments (financial services, professional services, corporate teams). Gartner-style or structured sales training is a real plus
- You're disciplined sales executive / account manager who knows how to forecast and hitting / over achieving targets; you own your number and take it seriously
