Permanent - Redruth - Up to £50k
Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively engaged by a long-established and highly successful, growing Cornish business that is looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager. This is a full-time, permanent position based at the company’s head office in Redruth.
Operating across multiple sites, the business is continuing to grow, with exciting times ahead. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Manager will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls and efficient processes across the wider business.
This is a varied and hands-on role with responsibilities including:
- Overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control and debt collection
- Supporting month-end processes, including reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments and depreciation
- Maintaining fixed asset and stock records and investigating financial variances
- Managing banking activities, payment processes and cash flow administration
- Supporting payroll, PAYE, pensions and VAT submissions
- Assisting with year-end preparation, audits and statutory reporting
- Supervising and supporting members of the finance team
- Reviewing and improving finance, procurement and purchasing processes
- Providing cost, revenue and margin analysis to support operational decision-making
We’re looking for an experienced finance professional who is either part/fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or qualified by experience. You’ll need strong transactional finance, financial control and month-end experience, together with the confidence to supervise a team and work closely with managers across the business.
This is not a purely “back-office” position. The successful candidate will be practical, proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to identify improvements, strengthen financial processes and provide meaningful insight to support business performance.
