Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Covering 2 Site - Gateshead / Durham £40,000 - £45,000 Days / Monday - Friday (Flexi Start & Finish Time) Overtime Available
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business operating across two sites in the North East.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically biased engineer who is looking to move into a permanent days-based position , while still having access to overtime at an enhanced rate.
The successful engineer will work within a busy manufacturing environment, maintaining a range of automated production equipment and supporting the continued reliability and performance of the sites.
The Role
Planned and reactive electrical maintenance Electrical fault finding and troubleshooting PLC fault finding, including Siemens and Schneider systems Panel wiring and panel building Fault finding on sensors, relays, drives, inverters and motors Maintenance of automated production machinery Working with palletising equipment and robotic systems Diagnosing breakdowns and reducing production downtime Supporting continuous improvement and machinery reliability Working across two manufacturing sites within the North East Ensuring all engineering work is completed safely and efficiently
The Candidate
The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will ideally have:
Minimum 5 years' engineering experience Strong electrical maintenance background Previous experience within manufacturing or a similar industrial environment NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical engineering qualification HNC Electrical Engineering would be advantageous PLC fault-finding experience Experience with motors, drives, inverters, sensors and relays Experience working with automated machinery Panel wiring experience Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Experience with Siemens or Schneider PLCs, robotics, palletisers or highly automated production equipment would be particularly advantageous.
