Data Analyst - 6 month FTC

This is an opportunity for a Data Analyst to join a high-profile regulatory programme within a growing financial services organisation. You'll play a critical role in delivering accurate, auditable data outputs that support regulatory requirements, customer outcomes, and business decision-making. The Role
You will:
Deliver SQL-based analysis, maintaining, adapting, and optimising existing scripts and queries. Produce accurate data extracts for operational, complaints, legal, and regulatory teams. Manage and refresh customer populations, datasets, and segmentation used across regulatory programmes. Support regulatory reporting and management information, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery. Develop reporting that tracks programme performance, outcomes, and operational activity. Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data-driven solutions. Maintain robust audit trails, documentation, and version control processes. Contribute to large-scale regulatory initiatives within a highly regulated financial services environment.
Your Skills & Experience
Strong commercial experience working as a Data Analyst within financial services, banking, lending, insurance, or another regulated sector. Advanced SQL skills with a solid understanding of:INNER JOIN, LEFT JOIN, RIGHT JOIN, FULL OUTER JOIN, CROSS JOIN, and SELF JOIN methodologies. Filtering and aggregation techniques using WHERE, HAVING, and QUALIFY clauses. Query optimisation, troubleshooting, and data validation. Experience extracting, transforming, and analysing large datasets. Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and audit requirements. Experience producing management information and regulatory reporting. Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders. High attention to detail and the ability to work effectively against strict deadlines.
