A Test Engineer opportunity has arisen within an established engineering and manufacturing business developing complex engineered products.
Working within the Test & Development team, you'll prepare and operate test rigs, install instrumentation, collect and analyse test data and produce clear reports. The role will support the physical validation of new products, ensuring they meet performance, durability and customer requirements.
Test Engineer responsibilities include -
Preparing test samples, rigs, equipment and fixtures ready for testing. Completing engineering tests in line with defined procedures, specifications and validation plans. Monitoring tests, recording results and identifying trends, abnormalities or potential performance issues. Producing structured test reports and communicating findings to engineers and stakeholders. Supporting test-failure investigations and improvements to test methods, equipment and repeatability.
Test Engineer desirable skills and experience -
Previous experience as a Test Engineer, Test Technician, Development Technician or similar. Hands-on experience assembling, modifying and setting up mechanical test equipment. Experience using test rigs, data-acquisition systems, environmental chambers or similar equipment. Awareness of engineering validation processes, including Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVP&R), would be advantageous.
