Solution Architect
Location: Remote (98% remote with very occasional travel to London or Manchester) Rate: £650 per day Inside IR35 Duration: Contract until 30th June 2027

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a major organisational transformation programme focused on aligning multiple organisations, business units, and user communities to a unified Target Operating Model (TOM). This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping end-to-end solution designs that will support large-scale business transformation, service integration, platform onboarding, and operational change. Working across business, technology, service management, and transformation teams, you will be responsible for delivering practical, scalable, and sustainable solutions that align with both strategic business objectives and enterprise architecture standards. Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & Architecture
Lead solution design activities across the transformation programme. Develop end-to-end solution designs supporting the implementation of the Target Operating Model. Design solutions spanning people, processes, technology, data, services and governance. Ensure solutions promote standardisation, scalability, supportability and long-term sustainability. Maintain clear traceability between business requirements and solution outcomes.
Organisational Transformation
Support the onboarding and integration of multiple organisations and user communities onto common platforms and services. Assess current-state operating models, business processes and technology landscapes. Identify impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities associated with organisational transition. Contribute to transition planning and implementation activities. Support business readiness and adoption initiatives throughout the programme lifecycle.
Business & Technical Analysis
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, Service Integration teams and key stakeholders to gather and refine requirements. Facilitate workshops to capture business, operational and technical needs. Produce and maintain functional and non-functional requirements documentation. Analyse existing processes and identify opportunities for simplification and harmonisation. Ensure solution designs remain aligned to transformation objectives and desired business outcomes.
Platform & Service Integration
Define how applications, platforms, services and operational processes integrate within the future-state environment. Ensure consistency of design across business, technology and service management domains. Support the integration of users and services into common governance and support frameworks. Work closely with Service Integration, Infrastructure, Application and Security teams to deliver cohesive solutions. Design solutions with operational supportability and service management considerations in mind.
