Senior Mechanical Engineer
Belcan Workforce Solutions is recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing and collaborative engineering team based in Motherwell. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to work on innovative and technically challenging building services projects, delivering high-quality and sustainable mechanical design solutions across a range of sectors.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will design and specify mechanical building services in line with project requirements and industry standards. They will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant and efficient solutions, while also contributing to the mentoring of junior engineers and supporting continuous improvement across the team.
To succeed in this role, candidates will bring strong building services experience and be working towards Chartership. The successful candidate will be a proactive team player with a passion for delivering high standards and developing their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Requirements:
Membership of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), working towards Chartered Member status
Demonstrable experience delivering projects within one or more relevant engineering sectors
Experience in the design of Mechanical Building Services systems, including HVAC and Public Health services
Design, technical detailing and specification writing experience
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify and clearly explain complex technical concepts
Experience supporting the delivery of projects within a multidisciplinary environment
Desirable:
Experience delivering multidisciplinary projects across multiple sectors
Understanding of the commercial elements of engineering projects
Experience with:
IES Thermal Modelling AutoCAD Revit Navisworks NBS Create / Chorus
