Civil Engineer Dublin Data Centre Construction Permanent Position A major contractor in the data centre construction sector is looking to hire a Civil Engineer to support delivery on a large-scale build in Ballymount, Dublin 22 (site-based). The Role You'll be part of a high-performing project team, supporting the civil/structural delivery from design coordination through to construction and close-out. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys solving problems on live sites and keeping quality, programme, and safety on track. Key Responsibilities
Produce and coordinate civil/structural designs with architects and engineers using CAD and/or BIM Support projects from initiation to completion , coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders Carry out site inspections , verify materials, and maintain high workmanship standards Complete structural calculations and resolve technical issues proactively Manage project documentation including as-built drawings, permits, technical reports, snag lists, and close-out packs Promote efficient practices, including innovative construction methods and sustainability considerations Attend and contribute to site meetings with QA, subcontractors, and design teams Oversee daily site activity and ensure compliance with health & safety requirements
Requirements
Degree/background in Civil Engineering (or closely related discipline) 3+ years' experience on large-scale construction projects (data centre experience advantageous) Preconstruction exposure is beneficial (around 5 years post-grad preferred for preconstruction-track profiles) Strong communication and coordination skills; comfortable working in a fast-paced site environment
