A multidisciplinary professional services consultancy is currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join their London-based team. This Quantity Surveyor position provides a quantity surveyor with the opportunity to support the commercial delivery of UK construction projects while building solid quantity surveying experience within a collaborative team. The Quantity Surveyor will operate from the London office and contribute to the wider quantity surveying function across several sectors.
The Company?
The appointed Quantity Surveyor will be part of a well-established consultancy delivering construction, property, and advisory services nationwide. The organisation continues to grow its quantity surveying capability, offering a structured environment for a quantity surveyor seeking clear progression and exposure to varied project work.
The Role
In this Quantity Surveyor role, you will assist senior cost consultants with the commercial management of projects from early design through to completion.
The role will include:
Supporting cost planning, budgeting, and financial monitoring Assisting in the preparation of tender documentation and tender returns Supporting procurement activities and contractor appointments Preparing valuations, cost reports, and variation assessments Assisting with contract administration and final account processes Working closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams
The Quantity Surveyor?
This position will suit a committed Quantity Surveyor with relevant experience in the UK construction industry. Applications from non-construction related backgrounds will not be considered.
The Quantity Surveyor must have:
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline Experience on UK-based construction projects Knowledge of common forms of construction contract Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders An interest in progressing towards professional chartership in quantity surveying
