Mechanical Engineer £65-75K DOE, based in Frimley Due to exciting innovation, and continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This position will play a key role in the development of advanced products including structural components, pressure vessels, and liquid propellant tanks. Reporting into the engineering leadership team, you will provide technical leadership across development projects, working closely with project managers, production, quality, customers, and suppliers. This is a hands-on role involving product design, testing, and engineering analysis with complex material challenges. The Mechanical Engineer will
Lead engineering activities and provide technical direction within projects. Plan and manage engineering work packages to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives. Lead the design, analysis, verification, and testing of aerospace and space products. Prepare and lead technical reviews, documentation, and design data packs. Review and approve engineering deliverables in conjunction with the Chief Engineer and technical specialists. Collaborate with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure successful project delivery.
About you
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years' industrial experience in a relevant engineering environment. Proven experience delivering engineering design and development projects. Proficient in 3D CAD software, ideally SolidWorks. Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience in advanced manufacturing sectors working with composite materials, titanium or aluminium alloys would be advantageous but not essential.
