Senior Quantity Surveyor - Leeds £60,000 - £70,000 + £7,500 Car Allowance (or Company Car) + 10% Bonus + Healthcare + Pension An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading privately owned civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure project across Leeds and West Yorkshire. This role offers the chance to work on a high-profile project with long-term security, excellent career progression and a healthy work-life balance within a business renowned for developing and promoting its people. The Role Based on site in Leeds, the Senior Quantity Surveyor, will be responsible for the commercial management of a significant section of works, working closely with operational teams to maximise project performance and profitability. You'll have the opportunity to put you own mark on the project and you'll also be responsible for supporting a number of junior surveyors within the commercial team. Key responsibilities include:
Managing subcontractor and supplier accounts from procurement through to final account Preparing valuations, applications for payment and cost reports Administering NEC contracts and managing change control processes Identifying commercial risks and opportunities Supporting procurement activities and supply chain management Producing internal commercial reporting and forecasts Mentoring and developing junior commercial team members
About You Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
Experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or rail projects Strong understanding of NEC contracts Currently operating as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to step up Strong commercial, contractual and communication skills
