Job Title: Public Services Lecturer Location: Greater Manchester Pay rate: £32 to £40 pound per hour About the Role / Job Summary: Greater Manchester Further Education College is seeking a dedicated Public Services Lecturer to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the education of students in the field of public services, specifically in uniformed protective services. The role involves teaching Level 2 NCFE practical and fitness courses, as well as Level 3 policing qualifications. The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping the future of students pursuing careers in public services. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and informative lessons on public services topics. Provide support and guidance to students in their academic and personal development. Prepare lesson plans and assess student work effectively. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience. Ensure compliance with college standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
A UK-recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent). Experience delivering courses in public services or related fields. Strong subject knowledge in uniformed protective services. Current DBS on the update service.
Education Requirements:
Relevant degree in public services, criminology, or a closely related field. Teaching qualification is essential.
Experience Requirements:
Previous experience in teaching public services at the further education level. Experience with NCFE and policing qualifications is preferred. Ability to engage and motivate students in a classroom setting.
