Arcas Technology is partnered with a growing organisation seeking an IT Manager to take full ownership of their Microsoft-based environment and lead a small, capable team through the next phase of cloud, identity and endpoint modernisation. This position blends strategic direction with hands-on technical leadership, ensuring infrastructure, security and operations remain reliable, modern and aligned to business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and develop a small IT team across infrastructure, cloud and support Own Azure, Entra ID and Intune administration, governance and modernisation Manage Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, security & compliance) Oversee Windows Server, AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP and core identity services Manage VMware/Hyper-V virtualisation platforms Deliver infrastructure upgrades, migrations and cloud adoption projects Implement security controls, patching, monitoring and disaster recovery Manage vendors, budgets, SLAs and service performance Act as 3rd-line escalation for complex issues Drive continual improvement across systems, processes and service delivery
Requirements
Experience leading small IT teams in SME or mid-sized environments Strong Azure + M365 engineering capability Hands-on Intune/Entra identity management Proven experience delivering infrastructure and cloud projects end-to-end Strong stakeholder management and communication skills Proactive, improvement-led approach with clear technical ownership
