Lab Technician
Our client, an established food manufacturing business, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join their quality team as a Quality Assurance / Lab Technician.
No prior laboratory experience is required for this role, as full training will be provided! If you have a strong eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and a full UK driving license to travel between local sites, this is an excellent opportunity to build a career in a vital, fast-paced industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine testing on incoming wheat and finished flour to ensure high standards prior to product release. Inspect wheat deliveries on arrival, identifying and reporting any quality issues prior to unloading. Perform practical laboratory tests on complaint samples and competitor products as needed. Carry out routine food safety checks and support the Technical Manager with internal and third-party audits. Inspect incoming ingredients and packaging alongside the FSQM, ensuring accurate documentation. Check and monitor additive feeder dosage rates on a regular basis.
Candidate Requirements:
Precise, methodical, and accurate with data entry and record-keeping. Enthusiastic attitude with a desire to learn technical laboratory processes (full training provided). Must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle to travel between local sites. Dependable, adaptable, and proactive in supporting day-to-day operations.
