We are seeking an experienced Gas Engineer to support our commercial gas team delivering high-quality repairs, servicing, and compliance works across Harlow City Council plant rooms. You will ensure safety and regulatory compliance and maintain excellent service standards for our client.

Diagnose and rectify faults on commercial gas, heating, and hot water systems.
Conduct safety inspections and ensure all gas installations comply with current regulations and industry standards.

Complete servicing reports, maintenance records, and certification accurately and in a timely manner.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide effective fault-finding solutions to minimise downtime.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
Support the installation and upgrade of commercial heating systems and plant room equipment.

Maintain stock levels of parts and materials and ensure company vehicles are kept organised and compliant.
Provide technical advice and recommendations for plant room improvements and lifecycle replacement projects.

Blocking: Not matched to a licence on the register
We could not match this employer to a licence on the Home Office register. That may mean they hold none, or that they trade under a name the register spells differently.

Against: Estimated salary is below the going rate
No salary is stated, so this uses an estimate of £31,121 from ASHE estimate (low end of the no seniority marker band) (1 Apr 2025). It falls £10,579 short of the general Skilled Worker salary threshold of £41,700. Because that salary is estimated rather than stated, this rule counts half.
Occupation code 5315 is not eligible in its own right, but appears on the TSL (Plumbers and heating and ventilating installers and repairers), due to be removed on 31 Dec 2026.
