Tooling Design Engineer
6 month contract
Based in Bolton
Offering £50ph Inside IR35
Do you hold an HNC or higher within an engineering discipline?
Do you have experience using CREO?
Do you want to work with an industry-leading company?
If your answer to these is yes, then this could be the role for you!
As the Tooling Design Engineer, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.
Due to the nature of the work you will be involved in, SC clearance is required.
You will be involved in:
Deliver practical and innovative tool design solutions Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals Re-engineer existing solutions, updating models, configuration, and associated documentation Manage your own project timelines and priorities to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
Your skillset and experience:
HNC/HND qualified with significant experience in Tool Design and Definition A significant amount of 3D modelling experience and be able to assess 3D models for their quality Experience in 3D annotations would be a distinct advantage (CREO) Ability to translate design intent from 3D models into high quality 2D/3D definitions (CREO) Strong background in the production of engineering drawings Knowledge of BS8888 Technical product documentation and specification, ISO 1101 Geometrical product specifications, ISO 5459 Datum and datum systems, and similar standards and GD&T
