Job Title: CNC Milling Machine Operator & Setter x2
Location: Newton Heath, Manchester, M40 5BJ
Salary: £19.82 per hour
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours: 4 days a week Mon-Thurs - Day Shift

EDM design, manufacture and install specialist mechanical applications to a diverse client base. On offer is an opportunity to work for a company that have an excellent reputation in their industry and a state-of-the-art facility to enable them to deliver on bespoke projects for a range of clients.
We are currently recruiting for 2 CNC Operator & Setters on a permanent basis to join our developing production teams. The CNC Operator & Setter is a skilled operative who is responsible for the Machining of detailed high tolerance components, using either our CNC 3 & 5 Axis machining centers, or X, Y, Z Proturn Lathe in conjunction with QT250.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operating and setting of Mazak 5 and 3 Axis CNC machines, or X, Y,Z Proturn Lathe/QT 250 Primarily conversant with Mazak machine controls with some ability in Mazatrol online programming. (Predominantly Offline fed) Interpret engineering drawings, documents, manuals and technical instructions with clear understanding Producing a wide range of precision components
Key Requirements:
Time served Mechanical engineer with extensive machine shop experience Completion of a recognised apprenticeship (preferably in composite craft/mechanical technician) or experience to equivalent depth Working knowledge of CNC Machine controls such as, Mazak Matrix2, Mazak Smooth X, Heidenhaim and Siemens could potentially be advantageous moving forward A skilled CNC Machinist possessing experience backed by fundamental manual machining disciplines Candidates with some ability to utilise Autodesk/Delcam Power Mill or Hyper Mill, programming software would be at an advantage A team player able to communicate at all levels Must have good work ethic Flexibility - shift working and overtime working may be required Ability to achieve UK security clearance is essential due to ongoing Military/Defence projects
