We're partnering with a successful and ambitious Lincolnshire business seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to join its finance team during an exciting phase of growth and development. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys getting under the skin of a business, partnering with stakeholders and helping leaders make informed decisions. You'll be joining an organisation where finance is viewed as a key contributor to performance and strategy rather than simply a reporting function. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll have the opportunity to influence decision-making, improve reporting, support strategic planning and help drive continued business success. The Opportunity As Management Accountant, you'll play a central role in providing financial insight and supporting business performance. This is a varied position offering excellent exposure across the organisation and the chance to contribute beyond traditional finance responsibilities. Key responsibilities will include:
Producing monthly management accounts and performance reporting Preparing budgets, forecasts and financial plans Delivering meaningful financial analysis to support decision-making Supporting senior stakeholders with commercial and operational insights Monitoring business performance and identifying opportunities for improvement Managing month-end processes, reconciliations and balance sheet controls Supporting cash flow planning and broader financial management activities Assisting with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements Contributing to the development of systems, controls and reporting processes Playing an active role in driving efficiencies across the finance function
About You We're keen to hear from candidates who can combine strong technical accounting skills with a commercial mindset and a proactive approach. You'll likely have:
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualifications, be actively studying towards qualification, or be an experienced Qualified by Experience (QBE) finance professional Previous experience within a Management Accountant or similar finance role Strong analytical and reporting skills Advanced Excel capability and confidence working with financial data The ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the business A proactive approach and genuine interest in improving processes and performance Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
