Reporting Accountant Birmingham | Newly Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA An excellent opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified accountant to join a well-established business in Birmingham in a broad Reporting Accountant role. This would suit someone who has recently completed their ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification and is looking to take the next step in their career within a sizeable and commercially focused finance function. Working as part of the wider finance team, you will support the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting while gaining exposure across a varied business. The role Responsibilities are likely to include:
- Supporting monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting
- Preparation and review of management and statutory reporting information
- Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and wider financial planning activity
- Providing analysis and commentary around financial performance
- Working with stakeholders across finance and the wider business
- Supporting audit requirements and process improvement
- Assisting with ad hoc reporting and wider finance projects
About you We are looking for a newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with a strong grounding in financial accounting and reporting. You may currently be working in practice and considering your first move into industry, or already be working within a finance team and looking for a broader role with greater exposure. You will ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or be at the point of qualifying
- Strong financial accounting and reporting knowledge
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail
- Confidence working with financial data and Excel
- Strong communication skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to develop
