Your Company: NET Recruit is proud to be partnering with an innovative and rapidly growing technology business operating at the forefront of autonomous and safety-critical systems, in their search for an Software Engineer to join their highly specialised engineering team. The organisation is developing next-generation assurance technologies designed to support the safe deployment of advanced autonomous systems within highly regulated and safety-critical environments. Working across complex embedded technologies, autonomous platforms, and mission-critical applications, the business is focused on solving some of the most challenging engineering problems around safety, reliability, assurance, and certification. This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious engineering environment where your work will contribute directly to the development of technologies designed to make autonomous systems safer, more reliable, and suitable for deployment within demanding regulated environments. Your Role and Responsibilities: While in this position, your duties may include but are not limited to :
Design and develop safety-critical embedded software for autonomous and complex engineering systems. Develop software components supporting runtime assurance, safety monitoring, and autonomous system safety. Develop high-integrity software using Ada, SPARK Ada, and associated development toolchains. Contribute to the definition and development of software architectures suitable for highly regulated and certifiable autonomous systems. Work closely with software verification, systems, safety, and certification teams throughout the development lifecycle. Develop software solutions capable of supporting high levels of safety assurance. Contribute to the development of software suitable for demanding safety and certification requirements. Support integration across mission computing, control systems, safety monitoring functions, and other embedded platforms. Participate in software safety analysis and design assurance activities. Contribute to requirements definition, software design, implementation, integration, and testing. Support the development of robust fail-safe and safety-monitoring functionality. Help identify and resolve technical risks associated with embedded and safety-critical software. Work collaboratively with verification and validation engineers to ensure software meets defined safety and performance objectives. Contribute to the continual improvement of software development processes, tools, and engineering practices. Support the transition of software and assurance technologies from early-stage development into scalable operational deployments. Contribute to the wider development of next-generation autonomous and safety-critical technologies.
