Hair and Beauty Lecturer
Location: Worthing Salary: £30 per hour Contract: Part Time Hours: 5 Hours About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and industry-focused Hair and Beauty Lecturer to join our team and inspire the next generation of hair and beauty professionals. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a range of Hair and Beauty programmes, supporting learners to develop the practical skills, technical knowledge, and professional behaviours required to succeed in the industry. The successful candidate will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, combining practical demonstrations and hands-on training with underpinning theoretical knowledge. Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Hair and Beauty lessons and practical sessions. Assess learners' work and provide constructive feedback to support their progress. Develop and maintain high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment. Prepare learners for qualifications, assessments, and progression into employment or further study. Support learners with different abilities, backgrounds, and learning needs. Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to progress reviews and quality assurance processes. Keep knowledge of current industry practices, trends, techniques, and professional standards up to date. Promote safe working practices, professional conduct, and excellent customer service. Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities. Work collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners to provide an outstanding learner experience.
About You We are looking for someone who is passionate about Hair and Beauty and committed to helping learners achieve their full potential. You will ideally have:
Relevant industry experience in Hair, Beauty, or a related discipline. A relevant Hair and Beauty qualification at an appropriate level. Experience of teaching, training, mentoring, or supporting learners is desirable. A recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent , or a willingness to work towards one. Strong practical and technical knowledge of current industry standards. Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills. The ability to motivate and inspire learners of all abilities. A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion. A proactive and professional approach to teaching and learner development.
