Are you a passionate Design & Technology Teacher looking for a new opportunity in the Cranbrook area?
The Role
As a Design & Technology Teacher , you will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across the relevant secondary age groups. You will inspire students to develop their creativity, practical skills and understanding of Design & Technology while maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement.
You will be expected to:
Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons .
Teach across the relevant secondary year groups and abilities.
Develop students' practical, creative and technical skills.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Follow the school's curriculum, policies and expectations.
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the DT department and wider school.
The Ideal DT Teacher
The successful candidate will ideally:
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Have experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school.
Have strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for DT.
Be confident delivering practical and theory-based lessons.
Have excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
Be able to engage and motivate students of different abilities.
Be reliable, professional and adaptable.
Be available to commit to the role through to December 2026 .
