Occupational Therapist – Band 6 (Locum) Location: Mental Health Services Contract: Locum – 3 days per week, 7.5 hours per day Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing
Our client is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a high-support inpatient rehabilitation service for adult males. The service provides multi-disciplinary care to support individuals returning to independent living. The OT will work across two wards, delivering assessments, interventions, and supporting care planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialist OT interventions in mental health rehabilitation
Supervise junior staff including Band 5 OTs and OTAs
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to care planning
Requirements:
HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
Experience in mental health rehabilitation
Experience supervising staff
Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and teamwork skills
Availability to work locum shifts via PAYE or approved umbrella company
