About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Project Manager to work for our client within the Public Sector (Central Government) sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Croydon, Salford or Liverpool.
Our client, is delivering a Modernised Business Intelligence project, moving towards a modern, self-service business intelligence capability. As Senior Project Manager you will provide dedicated project management, ensuring the project is well planned, governed, monitored and controlled within agreed time, cost and quality constraints while working with senior stakeholders, delivery teams and suppliers.
Responsibilities:
Lead the programme-wide governance and compliance framework, ensuring consistent standards, controls and reporting across workstreams. Provide senior boards and sponsors with clear, decision-ready reporting on performance, governance trends, actions, decisions and escalations. Manage supplier engagement and delivery, ensuring priorities are clear and progress is tracked, challenged and escalated where needed. Develop project plans, delivery approaches, structures and controls, managing performance, resources and transitions between phases. Identify and manage risks, issues and interdependencies, and coordinate assurance and gateway reviews.
About You
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a project or programme management environment managing low to medium-complexity projects. Detailed knowledge of project delivery methodologies including governance, assurance, planning, scheduling, budget and resource management, risk and change control. Strong understanding of governance and compliance frameworks such as HM Treasury’s Orange Book. Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Power BI; experience of Jira for sprint planning and delivery reporting is desirable. Relevant project management qualification. SC clearance is essential (ideally already held).
