Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded organisation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant to join the team on an initial 6 month fixed-term contract.
Based in Liverpool city centre, you will work a hybrid model with 2-3 days per week in the office. This opportunity is ideal for a qualified accountant who enjoys delivering insightful reporting, financial analysis and business partnering support within a complex organisation. There is also potential for the role to become permanent following the initial contract period.

Job Duties:
Lead the production and development of management reporting, financial analysis and KPI reporting across the business. Own the month-end management reporting process, including management accounts and executive reporting packs. Produce meaningful financial and non-financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Develop and enhance budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning models. Partner closely with finance colleagues and operational stakeholders to provide commentary and recommendations on business performance. Build financial models and business cases to support key commercial and strategic initiatives. Lead reporting and forecasting activities for UK and overseas subsidiary entities. Drive continual improvements to reporting processes, tools and financial controls. Support the annual budgeting process across multiple business units. Work collaboratively on finance systems development, reporting enhancements and process improvement projects. Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, governance requirements and internal controls. Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation and provide financial support to non-finance managers.
Who will I report in to? Head of Finance
When will interviews be taking place? Interviews will be taking place immediately, with a preference for candidates who can start at short notice.
Ideal Experience:
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent). Previous experience within an FP&A, Financial Planning Analyst, Commercial Finance or Management Accounting role. Strong experience producing management information, financial analysis and KPI reporting. Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse large volumes of data. Experience developing budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling processes. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate financial information to non-finance audiences. Experience improving reporting processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Sound understanding of financial systems and reporting tools. Knowledge of Power BI, SQL or data warehouse reporting would be advantageous. Highly analytical, commercially aware and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement. Available to commence employment quickly.
