Foundation Learning Lecturer - SEND
Location: East London Contract: Part-time, Temporary Start: September 2026
Are you an experienced Foundation Learning, SEN/SEND Lecturer or Tutor looking for a new opportunity?
We are recruiting for a part-time temporary Foundation Learning Lecturer working with Pre-Entry SEND learners , supporting their communication, independence, personal development and progression.
The Role
Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for Pre-Entry learners. Support learners with communication, independence and life skills . Develop learning around individual needs and EHCP outcomes. Monitor and assess learner progress. Support positive behaviour and learner engagement. Work closely with Learning Support Assistants and other professionals. Contribute to progression and review planning.
About You
Essential: Full Level 5 teaching qualification - PGCE, Cert Ed or DET. Experience teaching SEND learners , particularly autism, learning difficulties and/or complex needs. Experience working with Pre-Entry/low-level learners . Understanding of EHCPs and person-centred approaches. Strong classroom management and communication skills. A patient, flexible and learner-focused approach.
