Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Head Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations Oversee food production processes, maintaining high quality and consistency Manage food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards Lead team management efforts, including training new staff and fostering a collaborative environment Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of meals Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times Assist in menu planning and development to enhance culinary offerings
Qualifications
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within hospitality or restaurant settings Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food production techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Leadership qualities with a focus on team management and development Experience in restaurant service or hospitality industry is desirable Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
