Managing Quantity Surveyor
As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in delivering high-value lift and escalator projects across the UK. Working closely with project teams and customers, you'll take ownership of commercial performance from contract award through to final account, helping deliver successful outcomes on some of the country's most recognisable buildings and infrastructure projects.
Job description:
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
Leading the commercial delivery of projects from contract award through to final account Managing project budgets, cost plans, valuations, variations, forecasts and final accounts Administering NEC and JCT contracts, ensuring contractual compliance and effective commercial governance Identifying, assessing and managing commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle Building strong relationships with customers, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders Working collaboratively with Project Managers and operational teams to maximise commercial performance and support successful project delivery Preparing accurate commercial reports, financial forecasts and project performance updates Supporting commercial negotiations, contract reviews and tender activities where required Identifying opportunities to improve commercial processes, efficiency and project outcomes Ensuring all commercial activities are delivered in accordance with company procedures, industry best practice and relevant legislation
Profile description:
Essential
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, Managing Quantity Surveyor or in a similar commercial role Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts Experience managing the commercial delivery of high-value construction, building services or infrastructure projects Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation and stakeholder management skills Experience preparing cost plans, valuations, variations, forecasts and final accounts Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across customers, contractors and project teams
