We're delighted to be supporting an established and highly successful international manufacturing business with the appointment of an Assistant Management Accountant at its Swansea branch.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who is serious about developing their career and wants to join a business that will invest in their professional development .
The role offers a clear opportunity to progress towards a Management Accountant position , with full support towards ACCA studies , alongside hands-on experience across management accounts, month-end, budgeting, forecasting and commercial finance.
You'll also become part of an international finance function, working with colleagues across Europe and gaining exposure to a wider group environment.
And it's not all spreadsheets and month-end, the business has a strong team culture, with regular company and team socials, including regular travel to European locations .
Your Opportunity
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you'll work closely with the existing finance team and play a key role in supporting the production of accurate financial information.
This is a role designed to develop you .
You'll be given the opportunity to build your technical accounting knowledge, understand how finance supports a manufacturing operation and progressively take on more responsibility as your experience grows.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts Supporting the month-end close process Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances Posting journals, accruals and prepayments Assisting with monthly reporting and management information Supporting budgeting and forecasting Preparing variance analysis and commentary Assisting with financial planning and analysis Supporting the maintenance of strong financial controls Working with operational teams to understand and challenge financial performance Using SAP across the finance function Assisting with process improvement and finance projects Working with finance colleagues across the UK and wider European business Taking on additional responsibilities as your knowledge and experience develop
