Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an established engineering manufacturer to recruit an Electronics Design Engineer for their growing product development team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Electronics Design Engineer looking to take ownership of new product development projects, working from concept through to production on innovative electronic products used in specialist applications.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, the Electronics Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, testing and validation of electronic hardware, supporting both new product introduction and continuous improvement activities.
Electronics Design Engineer Responsibilities:
Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits for new and existing products. Produce circuit schematics, PCB layouts and engineering documentation using CAD software. Design and develop embedded electronic systems, control boards, power management circuits and user interface electronics. Prototype, test and validate electronic designs through laboratory testing and product verification. Carry out fault finding, root cause analysis and product improvements. Work closely with Mechanical Design, Software, Manufacturing and Quality teams throughout the full product lifecycle. Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical safety, EMC and regulatory standards. Support product testing, verification, production introduction and ongoing engineering support. Liaise with suppliers regarding electronic components and technical specifications. Identify opportunities to improve product performance, reliability, manufacturability and cost.
We would be keen to speak with Electronics Design Engineers with:
Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or similar. Previous experience as an Electronics Design Engineer, Electronic Design Engineer or Hardware Design Engineer. Experience designing analogue and digital electronic circuits. PCB design and schematic capture experience. Knowledge of embedded electronics and microcontroller-based systems. Experience of low voltage electronic design and power electronics. Understanding of communication protocols Experience using electronic test equipment Knowledge of EMC, electrical safety and product compliance standards. Strong problem-solving skills with experience supporting products through the full design lifecycle.
Desirable:
Embedded C/C++ programming experience. Experience designing consumer products, appliances, industrial equipment or electromechanical products. Knowledge of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or wireless connectivity. Experience of Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT). Experience developing products for volume manufacture.
