We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly capable Head of English to join an established international school community in South Korea.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher who can inspire students across the Secondary age range and potentially take on responsibility for leading and developing the English department.
Overview
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach across Years 7–13, with responsibilities potentially spanning English Language, English Literature and Drama.
The role would suit either an experienced Head/Lead of English or a strong classroom practitioner who is ready to step into a leadership position.

The Ideal Candidate
Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education or a related subject Hold a recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, B.Ed. or equivalent Previous experience as a Head of Department, Subject Lead or equivalent (beneficial, not essential) Have substantial international teaching experience teaching English at Secondary level ideally including Years 7–13 Have experience working within a British curriculum with a strong subject knowledge across English Language and Literature Have experience with IGCSE, GCSE and/or A Level programmes Demonstrate strong curriculum development/planning and assessment skills Be able to inspire students to develop a genuine appreciation of language, literature and the arts Work collaboratively and contribute positively to the wider school community Have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills The ability to mentor and develop teaching staff A clear vision for raising standards and student achievement
