Our client is a growing business in Newark and looking to add a Financial Accountant following recent growth.
Description
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting. Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities to support business planning. Analyse financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders. Ensure accurate posting of transactions and maintenance of general ledger accounts. Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes effectively. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function. Support tax compliance, including VAT returns and other statutory submissions.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
A professional accounting qualification (ACA or ACCA) Experience working within Practice (we welcome ACA or ACCA qualified candidates in Industry also) Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting. Proficiency in using accounting software and financial systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders. Experience in the leisure, travel, and tourism industry is desirable but not essential.
Job Offer
Salary between £50,000 and £55,000, dependent on the level of experience. Performance-related bonus scheme. Permanent position based in Newark. Opportunities to develop within the accounting and finance field.
