Job Title: Records Officer
Location: Ealing (Hybrid working, 3 days office / 2 remote, after training)
Hourly rate £19.46 PAYE / £25.34 Umbrella per hour
Contract Length: 3-month contract (possibility of extension)
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 35 hours

We're looking for a meticulous and proactive Records Officer to join our Children's Services team. This is your chance to play a key role in safeguarding information and ensuring smooth access to critical records that support the wellbeing of children and families across our borough.
What You'll Be Doing:
Maintain and improve electronic and paper records systems across Children's Services. Ensure compliance with GDPR and retention policies. Coordinate Access to Records requests and liaise with internal teams and external agencies. Support data quality and integrity on the MOSAIC system. Provide reports and insights to senior managers and contribute to statutory returns. Lead on archiving, scanning, and retrieval of sensitive records. Champion a culture of excellent information and records management.
What We're Looking For:
Strong administrative experience in a fast-paced environment. Experience using the MOSAIC system. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise effectively. Knowledge of data protection legislation and confidentiality protocols. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach. Confidence in supporting colleagues and improving data processes.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in Children's Services or a similar setting. Experience using MOSAIC (desirable) Ability to analyse and improve current systems and workflows. Familiarity with Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests.
