Annual Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Location: Basingstoke Job Type: Full-time
Join our dynamic team as an Accountant, where you will be responsible for delivering client accounting services for diverse fund structures including private equity, private credit, and real estate. This role is suited for individuals pursuing an accounting qualification and possessing experience in fund administration.
Day-to-day of the role:
Review financial transactions processed by Junior Accountants. Manage bookkeeping for a complex portfolio. Conduct bank and general ledger reconciliations. Oversee treasury and liquidity reporting. Handle bridging facility management and compliance reporting. Prepare drawdown and distribution notices for funds. Assist in the preparation of VAT and Corporate tax returns. Respond to investor queries as part of investor relations support. Produce periodic management accounts and quarterly investor reports. Generate audited and unaudited annual accounts. Collaborate with external service providers such as auditors, tax advisors, and lawyers. Adhere to risk management and quality control procedures, including checklists. Provide training and supervision to junior team members. Proactively manage work to meet agreed deliverables. Participate in projects aimed at improving policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Pursuing an accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). Experience in administration of illiquid alternative investment funds. Familiarity with technical accounting for Private Capital Funds (e.g., FRS 102) is preferred. Experience with financial software such as Allvue, Investran, or eFront is advantageous. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong attention to detail with excellent planning and organizational skills. Dynamic and motivated with a commitment to high standards. Capable of working independently with integrity and professionalism. Excellent communication skills and comfortable in a client-facing role.
