Job Role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer
A rare opportunity has become available for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business that continues to invest heavily in its people, equipment, and engineering infrastructure. This role offers the chance to become the site's electrical specialist, working within a highly automated production facility while developing into a senior technical position through structured succession planning.
The successful candidate will join a close-knit engineering team and work across a wide range of automated manufacturing equipment. The business is committed to investing in both its people and technology, making this an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking for long-term career progression.
You will be responsible for electrical fault-finding, planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, continuous improvement projects, and supporting the development of engineering and production teams across site.
Sector - Factory Maintenance
Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment. Minimum Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification. Hands-on experience carrying out planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance. Strong electrical fault-finding skills on industrial production machinery. Experience working with three-phase systems, motors, sensors and control panels. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Desirable Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer
PLC fault finding, modification or programming experience. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification. Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Previous experience working as an Electrical Specialist or Senior Engineer. Ex-Forces engineering background.
The Electrical Maintenance Engineer Will Benefit From
Salary of £51,500 - £55,000 depending on experience. Clear progression route into a senior electrical specialist position. Significant overtime opportunities paid at enhanced rates.
