Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Birmingham Shift Pattern: Continental Shifts (4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off) Salary £54,000 + overtime available
Elevation Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing business in Birmingham to recruit a Junior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their maintenance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to play a key role in maintaining production equipment, minimising downtime, and supporting continuous improvement activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities of the junior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role
Being proactive within the job focussing on reactive and preventative maintenance on a daily basis Perform routine maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and equipment Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to determine the best course of action Conduct regular inspections to identify potential problems and implement preventive measures. Collaborate with other maintenance team members
About You
To be successful in this Junior Mechanical Maintenance role, you will ideally have:
A recognised mechanical apprenticeship and relevant qualifications. Previous experience carrying out preventative maintenance activities. Previous experience within a medium to heavy engineering or manufacturing environment. Experienced in hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
