Project Manager Overview
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of multiple manufacturing projects, including containers, enclosures, and plant-room ventilation systems serving the power generation industry. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, bespoke projects ranging in value from £10K to £5M and beyond. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and quality standards.

Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
Project Lifecycle Ownership
Taking full ownership of projects from customer order through design, approvals, manufacture, delivery, installation, fit-out, testing, commissioning, and final acceptance. Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, managing expectations, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships. Developing and maintaining detailed project programmes, identifying key milestones, dependencies, and deliverables. Conducting site surveys to capture dimensions, interfaces, and technical information, ensuring issued drawings align with site conditions. Preparing detailed site-specific risk assessments and method statements to ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation. Managing internal teams and attending site as required to monitor progress, resolve issues, and secure final customer sign-off.
Specialist Sub-Contractor Management
Managing specialist subcontractors responsible for M&E fit-out, testing, and site installation. Coordinating inspection and test plans, factory and site acceptance activities, and commissioning records. Ensuring all handover documentation and outstanding actions are completed before final acceptance.
Commercial Responsibilities
Taking ownership of the financial performance of projects, maintaining and improving gross profit without compromising quality or safety. Managing budgets, cost forecasting, change control, cashflow, and payment applications. Monitoring progress and controlling costs through collaboration with production and procurement teams. Identifying non-conformances and leading lessons-learned discussions to drive continuous improvement.
