Finance Manager | Oxford | Hybrid | High-Growth Technology Business
Our client is an innovative and rapidly growing technology business looking to appoint a hands-on Finance Manager to work closely with an experienced part-time CFO.
Taking ownership of the day-to-day finance function, you'll play a key role in monthly reporting, forecasting, process improvements and supporting the business as it continues to grow. This is a broad role with genuine exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to develop as the finance function evolves.
Reporting to the part-time CFO, your responsibilities will include:
Managing the day-to-day finance function, including purchase ledger, payments and supplier/customer queries Producing monthly management accounts, VAT returns and cash flow forecasts Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting Working alongside external accountants on the year-end process Assisting with R&D tax credit claims Supporting project accounting and grant-funded projects Helping to improve finance systems, controls and reporting processes Providing financial support on a range of strategic business initiatives
We're looking for a proactive, hands-on finance professional who enjoys working in a growing business and taking ownership.
You'll ideally have:
At least 3 years' experience within a finance role AAT Level 4 or an equivalent finance qualification Experience producing management accounts, cash flow forecasts and financial reports Strong Microsoft Excel skills Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
The following experience would be advantageous:
R&D tax credit claims Project accounting or grant-funded projects Financial modelling Finance systems and process improvements Previous experience within a start-up or high-growth business
