Annual Salary: 35p/h Location: Surrey Job Type: Temporary, Full-time
We are currently seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join our Further Education institution in Weybridge. This temporary position involves teaching GCSE Maths and resit courses to students aged 16-19. The role is set to start as soon as possible, making it ideal for dynamic educators ready to engage and inspire young adults.
Day-to-day of the role:
Deliver engaging and comprehensive Maths lessons to students preparing for their GCSEs and those taking resit examinations. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to meet the needs of students at different levels of ability. Assess and monitor student progress through regular tests, assignments, and feedback sessions. Provide additional support to students requiring extra help, ensuring they are prepared for their examinations. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress. Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the curriculum and share effective teaching practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
A degree in Mathematics or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching Maths at GCSE level or similar. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to motivate and encourage students, fostering an environment conducive to learning. Adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
