Salary: £150 - £260 per day (dependent on experience)

Randstad Education is currently recruiting a dedicated Lecturer in Animal Studies on behalf of West Suffolk College in Bury St Edmunds . Running from as soon as possible until 22nd October, this full-time contract (35 hours per week) offers a fantastic opportunity to deliver expert instruction to students passionate about animal care and conservation.
As a dynamic Lecturer in Animal Studies , you will deliver teaching across levels 1 to 5, taking on a specific teaching focus within zoological-based modules and aquatics.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver High-Quality Teaching: As a versatile Lecturer in Animal Studies , you will plan and deliver engaging theory and practical sessions to students across Levels 1 to 5 .
Zoological & Aquatics Specialism: Focus on specialized modules including zoological care, enclosure design, aquatic management, and species health and welfare.
Full Academic Duties: Take responsibility for course delivery, student assignment marking, constructive feedback, and monitoring student progress across various qualifications.
Practical Facilities Management: Utilize the college's dedicated animal units and aquatics setups to deliver safe, compliant, and hands-on practical learning.
Student Support: Foster an inclusive, motivating learning environment that prepares students for higher education or careers within the animal care sector.
Candidate Profile
We are searching for a knowledgeable, enthusiastic Lecturer in Animal Studies with a strong background in animal management, zoology, or aquatic sciences.
Holds a relevant degree or higher qualification in Animal Management, Zoology, Marine Biology, or a related field.
Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, QTLLS, or QTS) is highly desirable, though experienced industry specialists with strong training backgrounds will be considered.
