Senior Geotechnical Engineer Sheffield £45,000 - £55,000
A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Sheffield.
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced geotechnical professional to take a leading role across a varied portfolio of projects, working alongside civil, structural and environmental teams.
The Role
You will be involved in a range of geotechnical projects from feasibility and design through to construction, with responsibilities including:
Leading geotechnical investigations and producing factual and interpretative reports Geotechnical design and assessment for foundations, retaining structures, slopes and earthworks Reviewing ground investigation data and developing ground models Specification and management of site investigations Geotechnical calculations and analysis Providing technical input into multidisciplinary projects Liaising with clients, contractors and other consultants Supporting and mentoring junior engineers Managing projects, budgets and technical deliverables
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline Significant experience within a UK geotechnical consultancy or engineering environment Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles and ground investigation Experience with geotechnical design and assessment Good report writing and technical communication skills The ability to manage projects and work independently Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff
Chartered status, or a clear route towards chartership, would be advantageous.
