NJR Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing Accountancy Practice who are looking to recruit an experienced Qualified Accountant to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys variety and wants to work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients. You will provide a broad range of accounts and financial support to businesses ranging from sole traders and owner-managed businesses through to larger organisations and charity groups .
The successful candidate will join a professional and friendly practice where client relationships are highly valued and there is plenty of variety in the role.
The Role
Working across a diverse client portfolio, your responsibilities will include:
Preparing year-end accounts for a variety of clients Supporting sole traders, partnerships and limited companies Providing accounts and financial reporting support to charity clients Preparing management accounts where required Assisting with VAT returns and other statutory requirements Supporting clients with general accounting queries Liaising directly with clients and developing strong working relationships Reviewing financial information and identifying any issues or discrepancies Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines Working closely with colleagues across the practice to deliver a high-quality service
About You
We're looking for an experienced accountant who can confidently manage a varied portfolio of clients and enjoys working in a practice environment.
You will need:
Level 4 accountancy qualification or above – essential Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience Previous experience working within an accountancy practice Strong technical accounting knowledge Experience preparing accounts for a range of businesses Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines A proactive and professional approach
